Ten-pin Bowling is among the most popular sports in the Special Olympics. Special Olympics Bowling allows for the use of bowling ball ramps by athletes who do not have the physical ability to roll a ball with their hand or hands. This program also allows for Unified Partners, individuals without intellectual disabilities who train and compete as a teammate alongside Special Olympics athletes on a Unified Sports Team. The Fall Bowling program includes practices and qualifiers/competitions in MD. Athletes and Unified Partners must attend qualifiers if they wish to compete in any other state, national or international competitions. Qualifiers and competition dates are TBD and are not mandatory.
