Your child can learn to build games, stories, animation, and control robots through an interactive hands-on curriculum. Technical Requirements: All classes require a laptop or desktop device with zoom, a Chrome browser, and high Internet connectivity.
  • Scratch Junior: Students must have an iPad or Android Tablet to attend the class. You also need a computer. Please join Zoom from your computer.
Prerequisites:
  • No prerequisites: Scratch Ninja, Accelerated Scratch, Scratch Junior
  • Junior Robotics, Python 1,2, & 3, & Mobile Coding: Scratch coding experience and familiarity with block coding are highly recommended but not required.
  • Minecraft Modding Quest: For students who are new to coding, we recommend taking Scratch Ninja 1&2 first before taking this class. Chromebooks are not supported.
  • Roblox: Prerequisites: Advanced Level - Scratch 1-3 or equivalent, familiarity with basic coding concepts such as conditional, loop, variable, and events. Students should be ready to move up to text-based programming.
    • Technical Requirements for Robolox: 
      • Students must have a laptop or desktop device with Zoom, a Chrome browser, and high Internet connectivity.
      • Windows or Mac Computer (Chrome book not supported)
      • Students will need a mechanical mouse.

Scratch Ninja 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5
In this fun and creative class, we introduce students to the wonderful world of coding using Scratch, a platform developed by MIT. Students will use colorful drag-and drop blocks that are intuitive and easy to use to create stories, games, and animations. We cover essential coding concepts such as conditional, loop, variables, and much more, while also exploring the intriguing features Scratch offers such as motion, sensing, and clones. -Scratch Ninja 1 & 2 In these beginner classes you will be introduced and learn how to use Scratch, a coding platform that will teach students core computer science and coding concepts. -Scratch Ninja 1, 2, &3 In this fun and creative class, we introduce students to the wonderful world of coding using Scratch, a platform developed by MIT. Scratch Ninja 1 - Early Adventures Students need a computer to this class. Mac/Windows/Chromebooks are all fine. iPad can not be used because it lacks key features. Part 1 and 2 classes are 55min per session, Part 3-4 classes are 70min per session. Scratch Ninja 2 - Creative Games Students need to have taken Scratch 1 offered by us or have at least 10 hours of Scratch coding experiences and are familiar with coding blocks including forever loop, conditional, motion, and sensing. Python for Artificial Intelligence 1, 2, & 3
Learn the core concepts of Python Syntax, loop, data types and variables, and explore more advanced programming elements such as Dictionaries, files, building games, stories with real world data projects. Advanced python coding and object-oriented programming with more complex games and applications will also be introduced. Prerequisites • Python for AI – 1 - For students grades 6 or lower, extensive prior coding experiences in platforms like Scratch are required. For grades 7 or older, you can start with Python without prior coding experiences, if you are willing to spend some moderate amount of extra time to practice. • Python for AI – 2 Students need to have taken Python for AI - 1 • Python for AI – 3 Students need to have taken Python for AI - 2

Beginner Roblox Coding 1, 2 & 3
This program requires a familiarity of fundamental coding concepts, such as Scratch. We will introduce the basics in session 1 of Roblox coding while building fun games. Students will learn how to code with Lua, and apply conditional, loops, and variable concepts. Session 2 will continue to grow with the lessons learned in session 1. We will teach the students how to build multi-player games so they can invite their friends to play games together. Session 3 students will learn to create a little economy in your games by collecting goodies off a conveyor belt, earning coins, and exchanging for droppers and treasures. Along with learning multiplayer games where players can interact with in-game characters. Class is 12 weeks.
