Lifeguard
Designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure the safety of patrons at aquatic facilities. Textbook and CPR mask are included in ten course fees. Refunds will not be given if the participant does not pass the prerequisites on the first day or fails to complete the certification requirements. 

Prerequisites include:  You must be able to swim 12 laps of the pool.  One length (or 25 yards) breaststroke, one length (25 yards, freestyle) the rest of the 10 laps be a combination of those 2 strokes.  Then you must be able to swim 20 yards, retrieve a 10lb brick from the bottom of the deep end, swim with the brick on your chest/waist area, using no hands just your legs back to the wall.  Once you are at the wall, you will stand up place the brick on the wall and you will then climb out of the water, all must be completed in a minute and 40 seconds.  Last skill, deep end tread with no hands for 2 minutes.
