Girls in STEM
Back by popular demand, join Discover Earth Camp as the GIRLs team up with Ms. Blizzle to explore earth science and STEM in a jam-packed week of fun! During this week of camp we will cover weather, energy, oceans, environment, chemistry, robotics, art and everything in between!
Space, Earth and Environmental Science
Join Ms. Blizzle and Team Discover as we learn more about space, planet Earth and the environment through hands-on fun. You'll build a model solar system and your very own 3-D planet; and learn all about caring for the Earth by making a terrarium and starting a garden of your own. students will learn about outer space, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), planet Earth, pollution, ecosystems, and "green" gardening. No camp July 4.
Extreme Weather and Natural Disasters
Join Ms. Blizzle and Team Discover as we learn more about lightning, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes and volcanoes through hands-on fun. You'll have fun with weather forecasting, making clouds and tornadoes, building your own model volcano that erupts and so much more!
Messy Chemistry
Join Ms. Blizzle and Team Discover as we explore the messy world of chemistry! During this week of camp we will make our own slime, play dough, ice cream, explosions and lots of chemical reactions all with items commonly found at home. Things will definitely get messy in the name of science and fun! Students will learn about the periodic table, chemical reactions, states of matter, how chemistry is found in our everyday life.
Energy and Robotics
Join Ms. Blizzle and Team Discover as we explore technology and engineering. During this week of camp you will produce energy from unlikely sources (fruit!), build model wind and solar generators, and design your own robots! Students will learn about traditional and renewable energy, build model wind and solar generators, build and design robots.
**Each week must be registered for separately**
To register for all weeks, each one will need to be added to your cart and paid for at the time of checkout.
Extreme Weather Camp and Natural Disasters
