Charles County Recreation Unified Basketball - Charles County Recreation Unified Basketball
Charles County Recreation and Special Olympics Maryland (SOMD) are partnering to offer a Unified Basketball experience for individuals with special needs and community partners.SOMD athletes will have the opportunity to play basketball alongside participants from the Charles County Recreation Adult Basketball League. Athletes simply “show up and play.” Teams will be formed each week by mixing SOMD athletes and adult league partners, and the groups will scrimmage in a Unified format. This program provides a fun, inclusive, and competitive basketball experience for all participants.Special Olympic Partner- For those interested in participating with Special Olympics Athletes (register for each week you would like to participate)Eligibility: Open to athletes from Charles County, ages 18 and older. This program is designed for individuals with special needs. *Registration is limited to 12 athletes, and pre-registration is required.
