This class is the perfect choice for your tween or teen looking to learn cooking basics and meal prep! Participants will learn essential cooking techniques and work alongside their peers to gain and develop new culinary skills. Transform traditional poses into an engaging adventure that builds physical strength, flexibility, and coordination. Through playful mindfulness activities, children learn to navigate their emotions and improve focus in a supportive, non-competitive environment. Each session incorporates calming breath work techniques that empower students with practical tools to manage stress and find their inner "cool" both on and off the mat.No class March 30 or April 6th

New to volleyball or wanting to advance your beginning or intermediate skills? This instructional youth volleyball program is offered to all skill levels of players from beginner to advanced. Experienced co-directors Nila Toribio-Straka and Ron Swann, in addition to other experienced coaches of the Southern Maryland Volleyball Club bring their wealth of knowledge of the game to your athlete. Players will be introduced to various aspects of volleyball with emphasis on executing the proper technique of passing, serving, and hitting. As players advance in their skill development, drills will incorporate game-like situations to introduce players to the fundamental aspects of the game of volleyball. Open to boys and girls. No class March 30, April 1 and 6.Drop-In Resident Fee: $40.00 Drop-In Non-Resident Fee: $45.00

Enjoy searching for new special treasures and unique finds at our Spring Community Yard Sale. This bargain-hunting event is held outdoors at Wade Community Center. Shoppers are admitted at 10 a.m. Free admission to shop and find those one-of-a-kind items! Event will be canceled in the event of inclement weather. Vendor Information: Spring into CLEAN and make some GREEN outside at our Spring Community Yard Sale! Vendors have the opportunity to turn their previously loved treasures into other’s new special finds. Sell your gently used kitchen gadgets, clothing, toys, art, tools, and everything in-between. Rental spaces are 10’ and pre-marked by staff. Vendors may start set-up at 8 a.m. All vendor stations must be set up by no later than 9:30 a.m. Vendors will not be allowed entry after 9:30 a.m. Vendors are limited to two people per rental space and are required to stay for the entire event. Vendors must provide their own tables, chairs (and tents if desired). Electricity is not available. All items being sold must be washed/clean. Vendors are encouraged to offer cashless options when possible. Number of vendors is limited. Pre-registration is required.

Classes will cover a variety of cooking aspects such as food preparation, measuring/weighing food, roasting, frying, presentation, and did we mention it will taste amazing. School’s out… let the fun begin! Students on the Go is a tailor-made field trip program for students looking for a little adventure on scheduled school closures. Program offers students the opportunity to explore local attractions and historical sites in a safe, fun, and engaging way. Field trips are subject to change. Pre-registration is required, and space is limited.*Fees to be determined by field trip* Additional Information: Program will be offered at Wade Community Center.  Program will serve participants 6 to 10 years of age and operate from 8am to 4pm on dates listed below.**Drop off will take place from 8am to 9am with departure times varying depending on field trip destination.
